As a young teenager, Kevin Miura already enjoys a busy performance schedule and is becoming recognized as a dynamic young artist.  In 2016, he won Second Prize in the Junior Division of the prestigious Menuhin International Violin Competition in London, where he was also awarded the Audience Prize and the award for Most Outstanding Potential.  He has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras across his native Southern California as well as with the Orpheus Sinfonia in London.  In 2011, Kevin was invited to perform in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and in 2015 was a featured performer on NPR’s radio broadcast From the Top and subsequently participated in a music video with Time for Three that has since gone viral.  Kevin is a student of Danielle Belen at the Colburn School in Los Angeles.  He also attends the Perlman Music Program during the summer, studying with Itzhak Perlman, Catherine Cho, and Li Lin.  In past summers, he has studied at both Center Stage Strings and the Ishikawa Music Academy in Japan.  Kevin is playing a 1713 Antonio Stradivari violin kindly loaned by Jonathan Moulds through the Beare’s International Violin Society.
