Jacqueline Marshall is a professional harpist based in Los Angeles, California.  She is an active orchestral harpist and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and Davies Concert Hall.  She performs with many other orchestras as well, including the San Luis Obispo Symphony, the Long Beach Ballet Orchestra, and the Pacific Opera Project.  Jacqueline often travels to Charleston, South Carolina for performances where she plays 2nd harp with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Opera Charleston. Jacqueline works regularly as a recording harpist and has appeared on such shows as America’s Got Talent, Glee and Rod Stewart: Merry Christmas Baby, a PBS Christmas Special.  Jacqueline has appeared as a featured soloist with the UCLA Symphony Orchestra, the Southern California Young Artist’s Symphony, the La Sierra University Orchestra, and at the Banff Music Festival. Jacqueline received a B.A. from UCLA, a Professional Studies Diploma in Harp Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and an M.M. from UCLA.

 

In addition to performing, Jacqueline is very involved in teaching.  In 2006, she helped to form The Harp In Our Public Schools Project, which provides free harp lessons to children in underserved public schools.  Jacqueline is currently on faculty as Adjunct Lecturer of Harp at La Sierra University. Jacqueline has also been a regular recitalist and lecturer for the Gluck Foundation’s Music Outreach Program and has been a guest lecturer at UCLA Extension.
