John Aranda currently teaches applied trumpet in the music department at Fullerton College.
He graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in music performance from the University of Southern California and for six years was the principal trumpet in the State Orchestra of Mexico, the second largest and most prestigious musical organization in Mexico.
He also was appointed professor of trumpet and sofeggio at the state conservatory.
As a free-lance musician in Southern California, John has had the opportunity to work with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, L.A. Opera, Pacific Symphony, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and many other first-rate ensembles in the region. In addition to his teaching duties, John is a member of the Artisen Brass Quintet, the official faculty quintet at Fullerton College.
